translation jokes

Yesterday a turkish football team Fenerbahce played with an itallian team AC Milan on an international match. One of Milan's most famous player's name is "Kaka" which happens to mean "Shit in turkish. Last night he played well and mostly for his efforts (and 2 goals) Milan defeated Fenerbahce 3-1 in Milano.
Today all the newspapers sport headlines are filled with all kinds of sick jokes about his name. It is very common in many tabloid style papers in Turkey. When a foreign name matches any turkish word the jokers begin to work.

Some headlines :

Fenerbahce had been 'Kaka'ed

Our dreams had been filled with... "Kaka's photo is shown here".

Damn your name "Kaka"

ps : By the way "Turkey" is open to elementary school type of jokes in the english speaking word. (I know you made one in your geography class...:))

dumbs of the day

Scientology is an absurd name and seems to be secret religion of a bunch of weird folk in a comedy film.
Their beliefs are even more comical. All the things seem to be a poor attempt to form a SF universe of an average high school guy. Like most dumb belief system it has a simple defense mechanism: You don't believe us than your brain is washed (every foolish system has this kind of one sentence defenses). Personally I am happy if mine is if reality is this stupid.

Some claims :

70 trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion years ago (7×1085 years): The Story of Creation Implants

>can you count?

The Galactic Confederacy was the political unit formerly ruled by the tyrant Xenu. It ruled a broad swath of the galaxy, and lasted for "eighty trillion years". ("The ITSA Line") 75 million years ago, at the time of Xenu's mass murder, the Galactic Confederacy comprised 21 stars and 76 planets, including Earth (then called Teegeeack). Its inhabitants "were walking around in clothes which looked very remarkably like the clothes they wear this very minute.

>How can you be so certain of things when we don't have clear knowledge of some affairs happenned a few millenia ago?

the Fifth Invader Force, out of its own protection, took over Venus – oh, relatively in modern times – took over Venus and tried to stabilize the Venusian[s]. If you called a Fifth Invader, though, a Venusian, he would probably shoot you out of hand, because it would be a horrible insult. They merely monitor the government of Venus, and
they leave Mars strictly alone.

Risk 2

I have found this game by chance from a friend's compilation cd. It can't take the place of the ultimate board game (called 'Gizli Hedef' (secret aim) in turkish version) of trickery, argument and dices but when you don't have 2-3 people around to play it is the only option. It's AI is poor. Other than standart risk there is a different ruleset and it has an optional territory and border expansions. Better than solitaire :)..nice time killer.
It has a very sad tune on the end that reminds me of old SSI strategy games. It plays whether you win or lose. My record is 5/1. 1 game was tied with my computer crashed

the most expensive school in the World

A primary school in Estonia has recently opened its doors for only one student. With a cost of 21k euros cost of a student it is the most expensive primary school in the World. I am sorry for the poor kid. A school with more teachers than student(s) must be a sad place.

T-Who did it?
S-hmm.
T-you again?
s-[sigh]

By the way with these birth rates i wonder what will remain of Europe in the 22nd century.

creation of a new Blog

I'm a mammal from Turkey with diverse interests. I recently graduated from University and in these 'empty' days i made my mind to publish a blog about... well... different topics that i like. It will be a nice experience to write in a foreign language.
